“Because of the vast number of neurologic conditions, a high level of expertise is needed when it comes to diagnosing them,” says Dr. Ronald Kizziar, one of three fellowship-trained neuroradiologists at Radiology Specialists of the Northwest (RSN). RSN works in consultation with neurosurgeons, neurologists and primary-care physicians for their patients’ neuroradiology exams. Our comprehensive neuroradiology capabilities include:
- Evaluation of atherosclerosis, arterial aneurysms, intracranial aneurysms and other vascular pathology
- Identifying skull fractures and brain injury in trauma patients
- Diagnosing blood clots or bleeding in stroke patients
- Identifying blockages in the carotid arteries
- Diagnosing disc problems, spinal tumors, spinal abscesses or other spinal problems
- Diagnosing autism, Alzheimer’s disease and other neurologic conditions
- Assessment of suspected or proven brain tumors or seizure foci
- Localization and staging of head and neck tumors
